The homeowners of this remodeling project in Lakeway / Austin Tx had purchased this home that is only a few years old. The original kitchen was espresso cabinets with a glass tile backsplash which gave it a cold trendy feel. They wanted to give the kitchen more warmth without changing the cabinets. We also integrated some of the homeowners ideas that they saw in pictures like putting glass doors in the upper cabinets, adding lighting, glass shelves, and a very stylish deco style wallpaper in the back of the cabinet and between the pantry shelves. We sanded down all of the cabinet doors and face frames and did a custom faux finish (that isn’t very apparent in the pictures). We also eliminated the glass tile backsplash and installed this split faced travertine 1×2 stone and bordered the outside edges with travertine pencil edges.
