We were hired to do a full master bathroom remodeling project in this beautiful home in Westlake TX / Austin Tx. They wanted to eliminate the existing shower and make that area into a built in dresser. The tub area was turned into a large custom shower. We removed the soffit above the vanity area. The old vanity and linen closet was eliminated and gave us some added length with these custom shaker cabinets and medicine cabinets. Originally the homeowners wanted tile. After seeing some of my stonework in person, they decided to go with this crosscut Durango Travertine stone. For the counter top I chose this nice slab of Emperador Marble with beautiful Quartz veining. The accent Banding in the shower and backsplash has random lengths of 3 different types of Marble. For the shower floor, we chose a travertine basket weave pattern (very elegant). Notice the details on the pictures below including a custom recessed shampoo niche with a nice soap bar niche below.
